If you've been active with the grime scene this year you would have heard Nico Lindsay shelling down radio sets and also bringing the fire to the Keep Hush event in dalston the other week.
Now, the North London MC has just dropped his new EP and although it's only four tracks long, this one is definitely one of the biggest grime releases of the year so far.
The first track from the project is Black Magician. This one's not for the faint hearted as Nico goes in on the murky beat, leaving you in awe for the next tracks. A grime banger in it's own right, but also a perfect way to start the project.
Next up is False Representation. Taking aim at the fakes in the scene, Nico keeps it grounded on the track and gives his insight into the music industry.
Keeping it real, the Londoner lays down heartfelt bars on the penultimate track Gee Owe Dee, which is definitely a testament to his versatility as it's not always straight up shelling.
The final track It Is What It Is tells a story of Nico's past growing up, parting ways with friends. You can definitely relate to the lyrical journey, as everyone's circles get smaller, it's just how you deal with that and move forward, which Nico portrays confidently on this one.
Overall a project that will stand the face of time and will be looked back on as a big milestone for the MC this year, which we can expect more visuals and sets from him.
