Sir Pixalot's latest project is here and there's some serious bangers inside. Released on Slit Jockey Records, Alien Invasion is his first release of the year.
The South London producer has completed a wide circuit on the airwaves on stations such as Mode and Rinse. Also a guitarist in metal band Big Bad Prowler, the grime producer has been able to juggle work in the music industry well for a number of years and it's only a matter of time before it pays off.
This project provides us with a consistent and unique sound, starting with Alien Invasion. The track speaks for itself as the dark tune fades out, your mind has to take a minute to recollect what just happened.
This is before Hopscotch comes through with the thumping bass and a knurled alien sound to keep you on your toes.
Gnarly is up next and it sounds like you're fighting with an extraterrestrial... The vibrant synths shine throughout this perfectly crafted riddim.
Finally we see the vigorous sound of Onix - it seems Sir Pixalot wanted to break all barriers of what grime should sound like and by bringing his dark and gothic touch to each track, he's done exactly that.
The Ghost House Records counterpart was quoted on Twitter saying:
“Please keep your MC's DJ's & Producers safe from this attack! Serious Skengs imminent!”
We'll hold him to that, listen if you dare!
