Hailed as the 'hardest younger' in grime at the minute, SBK is stamps his mark further on the scene with this latest release 'Snakes'.
At just 16, the lyrical capability and confidence on the mic is very evident and you only have to look at last night's Hell In The Cell clash, where he held his corner, to see that.
Bearing in mind these bars were written when he was just 14 and he's evolved a lot since then, you can take nothing away from the captivating track. Taking aim at fake friends, SBK delivers a well timed hook and clever wordplay on the high-tempo instrumental from the in demand Audio Slugs.
This one is his third release and not many can say that at such a young age. After barring alongside the likes of AJ Tracey, Novelist & Big Zuu, appearing on BBC 1Xtra and SBTV and even setting up his own independent label 'SBK Records', the sky is the limit for the youngster.
“Snakes is a tune I’m not ashamed to put out, though I have improved a lot since the original recording, I didn’t want to re-record because it would take away from the original vibe and dream I had at such a young age – Snakes represents where I started in music two years ago, so I can’t wait for the grime scene to see what I have now, 2 years down the line”– SBK
