Swifta Beater, a 25 year old Producer/DJ, from Birmingham has released another 12 track instrumental album for all you Grime heads out there, ‘Grime 2’.
Having come up in the game doing Bassline, but being equally talented in many genres, including DnB, Hip Hop And UKG, Swifta has released a host of projects, including ‘Horror Movie EP’, ‘The Crazy EP’, ‘Matt Black (Grime EP)’, ‘Easy’ and ‘The Twitter EP’, etc., and has provided beats for, and collaborated with the likes of Wiley, Dapz on the Map, StayFresh, P Money, Scrufizzer, Big Narstie and many, many more.
Now back with another project full of both nostalgic and fresh beats, Swifta has produced another banger of an EP. Characterised by those classic Swifta vibes, like heavy horn synth melodies, deep low basslines and rolling hi hats, as well as skippy drum patterns, heavy kicks and vocal and string synth flourishes, Swifta takes us on a journey into some of the best and purest Grime around right now!
Several of the beats have featured in some notoriously popping riddims, such as ‘Shenanigans’ for D Double E, ‘34 Shots’ for Chip, ‘Kane’ for Grim Sickers, and also the Maxsta remix, and of course ‘Man Don’t Care’ for JME, all of which have achieved phenomenal success, and have earned Swifta both the respect of the industry, and the attention of the scene.
Also featured on the project are a few new riddims, including a follow up to ‘Warlord’, which saw both Wiley, and RD + Mr X do a madness on, the Oriental inspired ‘PRS Day’ and ‘Murdah’, etc., all of which are as banging as the ones you already know.
Big up Swifta, fast becoming a legendary producer in the scene!
