It's that time again. D.O.K. has come through with yet another heavy project via Mean Streets Recordings in the form of Shine EP.
The title track has been doing the rounds on the radio circuit which offers up as a banger in its own right. The spooky intro quickly turns into a gooey speaker bursting drop which makes it more than your average riddim.
The second track 'Annihilate The World' starts off with a historical voiceover before ramping up quickly to bass-fuelled affair with dark synths and unique drum patterns.
Next is 'Frightning' which does exactly what it says on the tin. The horror movie suspense turns into a electronic reverb with inviting hi hats and enthralling bassline.
The final riddim 'Ghost Rider' is a more laid back offering coming with multiple sounds - hip hop influenced snares and hi hats with a latin American sounding drum in the forefront.
Overall, D.O.K has served up yet another impressive release as the Londoner continues to set the bar for grime production. Listen to the Shine EP in full below via Bandcamp:
