Releasing a track from his upcoming project on Potent Funk Records, ‘Still Fresh’, Bristol producer Baileys Brown has got something special for your head tops here, this one is differently wavey, still.
Baileys Brown kicks off with a Heavy kick/snare, combined with what sound like claves, which are patterned throughout, later descending bubble sounds, and ascending synths for the melody, along with a vocal sample, add a distinct touch of trippiness, all of which gets backed by a low, low bassline, as the bars come in, and a variety of vocal synths throughout. This riddim is a journey all on it’s own.
Brown, Slumrock and Datkid pepper the ting with bars about being the freshest, and the hardest, coming with that certain anarchic, anti vibe, spitting about being, or having the best of everything, beats, bars, green, clothes, parties and the gyal dem.
The wavey hook; ‘If the beat’s hot it’s probably me/if the beat knocks it’s probably Dee/Fresh reeboks it’s gotta be G/Helly Hansen on my back, the red and blue mac’ can’t fail to make your head bop.
A whole wave, cop it, cop it now!
