Another week, another pair of Hype Sessions drop. This one has been one of the most hyped out of all of the clashes to come and again we are blessed with another battle of the cities, with Ten Dixon residing in London and Tana from Birmingham. We first saw two youngers of these two cities drop theirs with SBK and Troadz but now we get to see a couple of more seasoned MCs go head to head.
We all expect to see a more serious clash after news of personal details being brought into the war, so this is definitely one that all of the fans have been waiting on and with two serious MCs we are guaranteed to be given a show worth watching.
“Fuck Tana Montana, I’ll shake up Thomas!”
Ten Dixon was overly vocal on the socials building up the hype even more that it already has been. He was itching for the hype session to be released and he has not disappointed. After seeing Ten Dixon clash some big grime names on the likes of Hell in a Cell, we know he is just adding names to his CV and gaining himself the rep o being one of the new generation’s war lords!
Ten comes with dark vibes on the video of his Hype Session with an aggressive flow ready to turn Tana’s lights off whilst visually shinning the light on himself. The flow we have all grown to love is instantly recognisable and deadly in the war. Creating a style as unique as Ten’s has been vital for him to stand out from the crowd and it has done just that.
“Thomas, that’s your name right Thomas...Thomas the tank I’ll train up Thomas… Fuck Tana Montana, I’ll shake up Thomas.” Ten drawing out Tana’s government name has been used in the send to soften up his MC alias, Ten puts the nail in the casket with the Thomas the tank engine bar then fully buries Tana with the Hannah Montana word play. The references and quick flow are sure to get heads bopping and only leaves us wondering what else he can come with in the actual clash.
“Man a got skeng for Ten!”
With Tana being a well-known member of Birmingham’s Invasion Crew, it is not surprising that he is stepping up to show why he could be Lord of the Mics. Coming with catchy flows you are sure to find yourself spraying along to the well-placed hooks for the rest of the day at least, just make sure you are prepared for Tana to switch up the flow and get overly greazy!
Although we have seen a lot of chat between the two online and an intense meeting at the cypher, Tana has decided to keep the Hype Session fairly civil and it is obviously all coming out at the clash! Although Tana did manage to slide in “Me, Ty, Crafty were beating your girl in Mode FM toilets, that’s ridiculous” which is sure to get blood boiling on its own yet Tana still ends the bar with “I could never share a mic with Ten, if I do that blud that’s syphilis”.
Tana did not come to play on the Hype Session but this is not where it stops, be sure to expect some deeper cutting bars in the clash!
“This is the warm up… It’s Birmingham Tan”
The battle to claim the title of “Lord of the Mics” is well and truly underway but there is still a lot to come. Birmingham and London are coming hard on this years LOTM. Lets just hope the LOTM8 clash itself is going to up the levels even further.
