“I’m already in next year, that’s just a likkle heads up”
From the days of Roll Deep, Manga has been putting in work and putting out some of the self-proclaimed best grime projects for multiple years. Always managing to drop high quality projects, great concepts and being able to express his own personality in both his lyrics and visuals has been key to solidifying his longevity in the scene as well as managing to get the serious grime heads talking every time he releases something new.
Just like the video and concept for ‘Men Are Trash’, Manga brings us another serious track with comedic value whilst still bringing attention to current issues. The satirical take on social media influencers is something that everyone can easily relate to and almost have a laugh about.
“Thank you me, all the things I bought for myself.”
The video which is brought to us by Theo Blackledge is no less than perfect. The innovative take on the visuals gives us the appearance of a social media interface, something that we all see and use on a daily basis. Somewhere that we go to see all of the things Manga is talking about in this track. Watching on your phone adds to this even further as it takes it from well made video to an experience for the audience. Having a whole Instagram feed as the visuals, advertising his own merchandise as well as those of other brands that Manga is involved with. Influencing the influencers at its finest.
Manga Saint Hilaire is “the wickedest influencer” influencing flows since the early days and on his mission to create the best grime project for the fourth consecutive year. Make sure you stay locked in for the drop of the new project!
‘With thanks to Manga Saint Hilaire. No one else.”
