The West Midlands has been coming through with some insanely fresh MC’s of recent, with an array of dynamic flows and shelling over some substantial beats.
One barrer from Birmingham who’s doing just that is Stretch DCM as he drops off a lively tune in the form of ‘Godson’. Utilising his skippy flow, he sprays all over a melodic bass fed instrumental, swarming with bar after bar of solid lyricism. This charged up riddim comes with a free flowing visual seeing stretch recite his bars in his ends, repping a ‘Birmz Is Grime’ tee. Demonstrating how the homegrown MC is staying true to his routes.

With a heavily influenced Asian riddim as a backdrop, comprised of a heavy melodic layers using Asian instrument synths, and a heavy kick/snare pattern with light hihats, as well as some vocal synths for the high end, Mayday and Stretch take turns patterning the riddim for ‘The Dojo’.
With an abundance of Asian cultural references, to things like martial arts, Dragon Fist, Ninja Stars, Manga, and Bruce Lee, etc., to metaphorically breakdown why man are the best, still, both MCs come tight with it, with different flows, that work really well together, this one’s a wave, still.
Lock in below:
A must watch for any grime fan, as Birmingham MC Stretch is seen hunting for Kevin the carrot through the German market.
Over a beat gifted from MistaKay, the refreshing Christmas bars set the tone, along with the cold visuals as Stretch rounds off the year in the best possible way with this seasonal offering.
